Europe and the bull

My painting is about the seduction of Europe by Zeus. Zeus was the supreme God of the Greek pantheon living on mount Olympus. He was married to Hera but also an extreme womaniser. One day he spotted the beautiful princes Europe and he devised a plan to abduct her. He transformed himself into a beautiful bull and stood near her quietly in the meadow grazing on the grass.

Europe was impressed by his beauty, went up to him and caressed his majestic shoulders. Zeus invited her to ride on his back. Then Zeus ran to the sea and swam quickly to Crete, there she got three babies, eventually married a prince, and all this in a few days work, completely normal in Greece in those days.

In my painting Europe sees Zeus for the first time, likes him very much. And flirts a little provocatively by playing with her hair.
